- Consumer law added to the payment guide
The payment guide now sets out the UK rules that apply to every store: the ban on card surcharges, the exact Section 75 range (single items over £100 and up to £30,000), why paying through a PayPal account usually loses Section 75, chargeback, digital-content rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and when the 14-day cancellation right ends. Each links to the legislation.
- Payment and price facts re-checked
A second pass over the money guides confirmed mobile billing and paysafecard on the Microsoft Store and Xbox, paysafecard on Epic, PayPal's 3% conversion rate and the $9.99 price of Starblast's one-off pass, and re-checked every Diep.io shop price. Nintendo's UK list does not include paysafecard or mobile billing, and Microsoft's does not include Apple Pay or Google Pay. Patreon tier prices are still unverified, so we still do not print them.
- Hextris pulled before launch
Hextris was written up and scored, and then its domain stopped resolving — the project's own mirror redirects to the same dead address. We will not publish a link we cannot open, so it came off the floor and 2048 took the slot. If the domain comes back, so will the review.
- Floor opens with twelve cabinets
Twelve reviews published, each scored on the five marks, each checked against the developer's own pages rather than a listing site.
- Two candidates dropped on the facts
Alto's Odyssey: The Lost City was on our shortlist as a free browser game. It is not one — it is a paid app, and the web address we had for it no longer has a valid certificate. A second candidate, Twin Shot 2, is still listed on its studio's site but needs a plug-in that no browser has supported since 2020.
- One candidate dropped on principle
A well-made kart game was cut after we found a paid spinner handing out randomised rewards. Games that sell a random-chance box do not go on this floor, whatever else they get right.
- Testing round one
Every surviving cabinet played on a laptop and on a phone, with particular attention to what leaving mid-round costs you.
